About this cartoon: An avowedly racist young man shot up an African American church during prayers. Very oddly, instead of stirring a national debate about hate crimes, racism or mental illness, it stirred up a nationwide revolt against... the use of the Confederate flag. For Jewish Americans, however, the shooting was all-too-close-to-home.
